The european project ECOLOGISITCS, co-funded by the Interreg IV-b « North West Europe », is currently organizing a series of exchange and site visit sessions to explore the potential and existant benefits of ICT for the logistics sector.

On Tuesday 11th February, the flowers auction Flora Holland opened its doors for Ecologistics project. After an impressive immersion in the world of international flowers logistics, different presentations introduced open discussions :

Ecologistics study visit GS1 knowledge centre | 19th January 2015 | Cologne (Germany)

The european project ECOLOGISITCS, co-funded by the Interreg IV-b « North West Europe », is currently organizing a series of exchange and site visit sessions to explore the potential and existant benefits of ICT for the logistics sector.

On Tuesday 19th January, a session was held in the GS1 knowledge Center in Köln, in order to discover the leading-edge information and communication technologies enabling a better visibility for the supply chain stakeholders.

Forum Gambetta, salon Entreprises Expo | 16 octobre | Calais, France

The Ecologistics project (www.ecologistics-project.eu) pursuits the objectif of more efficient and sustainable supply chains through optimal use of ICT. The solutions thus developed include a common flow management platform, pedagogic tools for efficiency gains through ICT and exchange workshops for companies. Promotional material (brochures, USB keys with project data, Powerpoint presentations) have attracted visitors who wished to learn more about Ecologistics.

Ecologistics' conferences | 14 October 2014 | Brussels

The partners of Ecologistics project organized their first conference in Brussels on October 14th, 2014. Through this conference, Ecologistics aimed at presenting the added value of IT tools and GS1 standards for implementing traceability in logistics and introducing to the audience the demonstration of the first scenario integrated in the demonstrator, which is one of the main outputs of the project

Ecologistics was presented during " 2EME EDITION DES JOURNEES TECHNIQUES DE LA MOBILITE INTELLIGENTE" in CCI Grand Lille on Sept 18th and 19th 2014

Multitel was invited to present Ecologistics project in CCI Grand Lille, during a « table ronde »  about the Physical Internet : this new original logistics concept aims to tackle the global logistics sustainability issues thanks to an open global logistics system founded on physical, digital and operational interconnectivity. As well as on the Internet, packages of information packets are transmitted through all networks, the Physical Internet would deal with interlocking modular containers encapsulating objects.

7th workshop of Ecologistics project | 11 June 2014 | Tournai (Belgium)

The seventh workshop of Ecologistics project was held in Eurometropolitain e-Campus in Tournai, Belgium. It took place on 11th June 2014 and it was dedicated to the training. The objective of the event was to identify needs in terms of training in traceability of the SC. The collected information enables the partners, mainly the training organizations like Forem, Eurometropolitain e-Campus in Belgium and Euralogistic in France to identify relevent tools (developed by the project) which will be used to disseminate to stakeholders in the SC the interoperability of identification technologies. Some didactic tools based on the demonstrator for training purpose are planned.

6th workshop of Ecologistics project | 26 February 2014 | Houdeng (Belgium)

The sixth workshop of Ecologistics project was organized by Forem, a partner specialist in training in Wallonia. It took place on 26th February 2014. The objective of the event was to identify needs from companies in terms of traceability in the SC. The collected information enables the partner to design the most relevant scenarios. Those scenarios will be integrated into the demonstrator.

5th workshop of Ecologistics project | 29 January 2014 | Saarbrücken (Germany)

The fifth workshop organized by Ecologistics took place on 29th January 2014. It was organized and hosted by IPL, the German partner of the project. IPL participated actively in several Logistics Fairs and promoted Ecologistics projects through those events. The workshop attracted 20 participants, including 13 companies.

Ecologistics Steering Committee | 16 January 2014 | Dourges - France

Hosted by Euralogistic in Dourges, the sixth steering committee took place on 16th January 2014. During this meeting, we welcomed Eurometropolitain e-campus to be an official partner of Ecologistics. This meeting aimed at making a status point of the project. Each action was reviewed and discussed. In particular, action 8 was the center of the discussion. It was also decided that the seventh steering committee will take place in May and will be hosted by I-Trans in Valenciennes.
